Vancouver Art Gallery’s ‘MashUp’ is a collection of images, objects, sounds and words from artists dating back to 1912. It features 371 works by 156 artists such Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Juan Gris, Hannah Höch, Joseph Cornell, Andy Warhol and Frank Gehry. The problem was we couldn’t use all of the imagery in the exhibition to sell it. It's too big, and too vast.

We instead decided to focus on the idea of the show. The birth of modern culture and the link between artists throughout time. One style inspires another which inspired another.
